candy
Available March 29th 2026
Candy is a 1- to 2-year-old lab mix who is just the sweetest dog! She is super affectionate, loves her massages and barely makes a sound. She is the quietest dog ever!
Candy was recently rescued along with 200 other dogs from a Mississippi hoarding case where Paws of War led the mission to find rescue placement for all.
Candy gave birth shortly after rescue in Mississippi and was transported to a New York foster with her six puppies.
in spite of her rough life, she has the most unbelievable personality. She would be a wonderful addition to a quiet household, and would make the perfect companion for somebody who wants a new best friend to take long walks with and watch movies.
Candy needs to work on her housebreaking skills (No one took the time to teach her until now), but she is a smart dog and with the right owner she will surely pick that up!
Candy is available for adoption in March when she will be done nursing her babies. Physically, it will take time for her body to return back to normal after nursing for eight weeks. Once she is medically cleared, she will be spayed by Paws of War so she will never have a litter again.
