ari

Ari is a sweet, one-year-old, Husky Shepherd mix, with a loving and playful personality. He’s great with kids, loves other dogs, and sleeps peacefully through the night. With his young dog energy, Ari would thrive with exercise and training, making him the perfect companion for an active family. He’s looking for a home where someone is home for part of the day and can give him the time and care he needs to help him grow and reach his full potential.

Ari was rescued overseas through our War Torn Pups and Cats program, where he was saved from a life of danger and uncertainty. A soldier who was deployed took him in, but due to military commitments, he is unable to offer him a permanent home. His soldier's dream of bringing Ari to safety in the U.S. has been fulfilled, but Ari is still waiting for his dream of a forever home to come true.

Ari is available for adoption to veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families.

milo

Milo is an energetic, smart, and happy 5-month-old Goldendoodle pup who’s ready to brighten someone’s life. Because of his young age and puppy energy, he needs a home where someone can spend most of the day with him to help him grow and thrive.

Milo came to Paws of War from Smithtown Animal Shelter after being surrendered by his previous owner, through no fault of his own. With the shelter operating at full capacity and working hard to rehome the dogs already in their care, they reached out to Paws of War to ensure Milo could find the care and attention he deserves.

He’s available for adoption to veterans, first responders, or Gold Star families.

Tacoma

Tacoma is a 5-month-old Doodle mix with a heart full of love and a personality that will keep you smiling! This super sweet little guy might be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, his zoomies will have you laughing in no time. He is great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a perfect addition to any family. He adores his blankets, toys, and anything that makes a fun crinkle sound.

Tacoma’s journey has been anything but easy. Rescued in Tennessee, Tacoma was rescued from a breeder who was accused of selling sick puppies. When law enforcement conducted a puppy buy, Tacoma was found in poor condition—emaciated, covered in bugs, with overgrown nails, and completely shut down from fear.

Since arriving in our care, Tacoma has made incredible progress. With love, patience, and time, this once-timid pup has blossomed into

a playful, happy puppy full of life and energy. Tacoma is available to Veterans, First Responders & Gold Star Families.

HOLLY

Holly is a 10-month-old Doodle mix with a sweet and energetic personality! She’s super smart and loves learning new tricks. Holly gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making her a great fit for any family. She’s always up for a cuddle and enjoys playing with her toys. This lovable pup is ready to bring joy to her forever home!

Holly’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. Abandoned by the side of the road, she found herself in a high-kill shelter—scared, alone, and running out of time. But Holly’s story didn’t end there.

Thanks to our life-saving programs and the compassion of our community, she was rescued and placed into foster care just in time for Christmas.

Now, instead of a cold kennel floor, Holly has experienced the warmth of a soft sofa and the love she’s always deserved. She’s ready to find her perfect forever home! Holly is available for adoption to Veterans, First Responders, and Gold Star families.

He's looking for a forever home that is active and patient and will continue his training at Paws of War to help him reach his full potential.

Originally rescued by Paws of War and adopted, Oakley was recently surrendered back to us due to personal reasons, but he’s ready for a fresh start in a loving forever home.

yogi

Yogi is a sweet, 5-year-old mixed breed with a fun and loyal nature. He would thrive in a calm and experienced home where he can be the only dog.

Yogi is looking for someone who has the time and patience to work with him, providing the care and attention he needs. He’s a loving companion who will bring joy to the right family.

Yogi was rescued through our War-Torn Pups and Cats program after a difficult start in life. He was adopted into a loving home, but unfortunately, due to his owner's ill health, Yogi was surrendered back to us. He is eager to find a new family who can offer him the stability and love he deserves.

Yogi is open for foster or adoption applications to everyone.

oreo

Oreo is a sweet 2-year-old Collie mix with a heart full of love. She may need a gentle introduction to new people, but once she feels comfortable, she craves affection and loves to be around her humans. Oreo is highly motivated by food and toys and has a playful side—she enjoys games like fetch. She would thrive in a home where someone can dedicate time to her and where older children can be part of the family dynamic.

Oreo was rescued from dangerous conditions in the Middle East through our War Torn Pups and Cats program, and she made the journey to America as part of a mission that saved her life. Unfortunately, after a series of tragic events, Oreo’s owner had to surrender her to Paws of War. We’re now helping her find a loving forever home. Oreo is open for foster or adoption applications to everyone.
