peamer
Meet Peamer — the tiny miracle who survived the impossible, and is now ready for the one thing she’s been fighting for all along: a family of her own.
Peamer came into the world beneath a building near a U.S. Army base in the Middle East. Tiny and sickly, she was fading away toward a certain death, but the U.S. Army Major who found her refused to let that happen. She hand-mixed a special formula and fed Peamer drop by drop with an eyedropper, keeping her heart beating long enough to buy her a sliver of hope. Knowing she couldn’t survive in such dangerous conditions, she contacted Paws of War. Our team nursed the kitten back to health until she was strong enough to come to the U.S.
Now, Peamer is finally ready for her forever home. At roughly five months old and five pounds, Peamer is still small, but her spirit is enormous. She’s affectionate, courageous, playful, confident, and astonishingly smart. It’s as if she knows humans saved her life—and she pours love into everyone she meets. She is most content lying on your lap or neck, or sitting perched on your shoulder, constantly purring. She gives kisses, and adores being pet on her head. She needs a family who understands how special she is—who can give her the safety, warmth, and love she has fought so hard to reach.
She would make the perfect companion for a veteran or first responder with her fierce loyalty and ability to make everyone feel special, but she needs constant attention and someone who can manage her endless kitten energy and bold personality! Peamer loves people so much that she doesn't like to share their attention, so we recommend she be the only animal in the home.
If you’d like to learn more about adopting Peamer and giving this remarkable little girl the home she’s been waiting for, please fill in an application form, and we’ll take it from there!
