Current

Missions

Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of veterans, first responders and their families, particularly those battling invisible wounds like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), by providing them with loyal service dogs that become not just companions but also catalysts for healing.

Simultaneously, we rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats in dire straits, often plucking them from the brink of despair and giving them a new chance at life. Our reach extends into war-torn regions, reuniting military personnel with the animals they formed bonds with during service.

Unseen Battles: The Silent Struggle of Veterans and Abandoned Animals

Imagine inhabiting a world where your closest companion is an unspoken trauma, a silent burden that you carry with you each day. This is the stark reality for countless veterans who return home only to find themselves in a different kind of battle, one that rages within. Their struggles do not end with the cessation of war but continue in the form of persistent PTSD, engulfing loneliness, and profound isolation that alienates them from the world they once knew. These internal conflicts are as challenging as any battlefield, marked by memories that linger and emotions that overwhelm.

In the often overlooked corners of our society, numerous animals endure the pain of abandonment.

These creatures, once cherished and loved, now find themselves cast aside, suffering in a silence that is as profound as it is heartbreaking. They long for a return to the warmth and security of a loving home, a place where they are more than just survivors but cherished members of a family. Their plight, though silent, speaks volumes about the neglect and indifference they face, each day a struggle for recognition and care.

Uniting Souls: How Paws of War Brings Healing

Each story of a veteran finding a loyal companion in a rescued animal is a testament to the transformative power of love and empathy.

These pairs, once burdened by their individual pasts, find in each other a renewed sense of purpose and joy. Witness the magical transformation as they embark on a journey of recovery and mutual support, proving that together, they are stronger and more resilient.

“After returning from service, the world felt like a maze with no exit. But then I met Sadie, my service dog from Paws of War. Sadie didn't just help me navigate the complexities of civilian life, she guided me back to a sense of peace I thought was lost forever. Together, we're not just surviving, we're thriving. I'm forever grateful to Paws of War for this incredible gift."
